Year Founded - 1991
Mission - Our basic purpose is to preserve the heritage and enhance the quality of life for the people of Pella by helping to transfer funds from the hands of people who wish to help others, to non-profit organizations that can do it most efficiently.
Accreditation - We are confirmed to be in compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.
Leadership - We are governed by a 12 member Board of Directors serving three year terms of office chosen from a representative cross section of the community.
Assets - As of June 30, 2019 our audited financial statement reports $7,695,651 in total assets with $5,898,641 in endowment funds and unrestricted assets, and $1,788,347 in agency funds.
Grants - In our twenty-seven year history we have awarded 608 board directed grants totalling $1,094,459. The 2019 grants totalled $100,000.
Gifts Accepted - We accept gifts of cash and appreciated assets, real estate, bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and gifts designated through a life insurance policy, IRA or 401(k) plan.
Tax Benefits - Donors to the Foundation receive full tax benefits including access to a 25% Endow Iowa Tax credit for gifts made to eligible Foundation endowment funds.
