Year Founded - 1991
Mission - Our basic purpose is to preserve the heritage and enhance the quality of life for the people of Pella by helping to transfer funds from the hands of people who wish to help others, to non-profit organizations that can do it most efficiently.
Accreditation - We are confirmed to be in compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.
Leadership - We are governed by a 12 member Board of Directors serving three year terms of office chosen from a representative cross section of the community.
Assets - As of June 30, 2020 our audited financial statement reports $7,554,068 in total assets with $5,846,507 in endowment funds and unrestricted assets, and $1,697,913 in agency funds.
Grants - In our thirty year history our Board has awarded 674 grants totalling $1,318,509. The 2021 grants totalled $117,100.
Gifts Accepted - We accept gifts of cash and appreciated assets, real estate, bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and gifts designated through a life insurance policy, IRA or 401(k) plan.
Tax Benefits - Donors to the Foundation receive full tax benefits including access to a 25% Endow Iowa Tax credit for gifts made to eligible Foundation endowment funds.
